proof of residence for retirement extension?

Is the residence certificate obtainable from immigration offices sufficient for a non O extension, or are there more hoops to jump through?

I am using the Chiang Mai office.

In order to get a certificate of residence would require the same proof of residence needed to apply for an extension of stay based upon retirement.

You need a rental agreement with copies of the owners house book and ID card attached.

I have never been asked in many years, either in CM or Nakhon Phanom, for proof of residence when requesting an extension of stay based on retirement. Has something changed?

Thank you for your answer, as I can probably get copies of owners house book and IDs. I don't have a rental agreement as it's a family home.
