Recommended opticians in Phuket?

Featured Replies

I'm in need of a new prescription and glasses and am looking for a recommended optician. That is, personal recommendation based on your own, positive experience.

I'm not looking to spend a fortune but I'm a sailor so any frames I buy will need to be resistant to the salt-water environment.

Location - anywhere on the island, I have access to transport.

Thanks in advance.

I would think, Phuket town is the only place on the island, which have real and professional opticians. At least that's my feeling.

I'm as well interested to hear recommendations as I also need to get glasses.

I would steer well away from any of the tourist area, and the big chain opticians.

Used to be a few private family opticians in Phuket Town center going toward the water cannon fountain behind all the banks.

Never been there for years but I always used Washington Optics. No complaints about service or price.

'Better Vision' in Central on 2.floor.

Optician there is really good and knows what he do. They also repair your glasses free there when bought there.

I bought the last 2 glasses there and sure the next also.

Washington Optics are very good In Phuket town. Always given me a fair price and good service. Ask for Kob, she's the owner and speaks very good English.

Try one of the major hospitals..

No. Ophthalmologists there, not opticians.

After a run of disappointing eye test/glasses episodes , I found the Top Charoen store at villa market was really good and not overly expensive. The glasses have been durable and the prescription was correct, unlike some other opticians I have used in the past.
