I stay away from speed tests and rather use real world tests. Today I got my 3bb 100mb fiber connection and these are some quick results:

Apple ITunes with IDM .... 12-13MB

From my seedbox in Finland to my local had with FTP ... 9-10 MB

YouTube .... Between 50mb to over 100mb.

Sites like twitch were always unusable with my True 16mb. Now I get source quality with any buffering.

Local wifi ... 50-80mb.

This IS a real world number as you know where the data really comes from.

It's a good/typical number.

(assuming you mean MBit/s)

youtube as expected as it comes from the region.

These tests were performed during peak hours (7 - 10pm).

mbs = megabit per second

MBs = megabytes per second

The FTP figures were for one file or 5 files per download session. I never saw the download speed go lower than 7.7 MBs.
