ES335 Guitar repair / help required

Featured Replies

Found these various bits and pieces floating around inside the body of my Yamaha SA1000 Super Axe 70's ES335 copy.

I thought at first they were bits of a collapsed pickup but they were in the lower electronics cavity. The black pieces are plastic and the other bits are like chrome or nickel plate springs. To give an idea of size the metal bits are about 20mm

Now anyone knowing a 335 will know there is no way to access the beck of the guitar except through the F holes. From what I can see the pots and switch look intact and doesn't look like the bits came from there. I can't see the input jack but assume it didn't come from there either.

The 335 has a solid middle block that the pickups sit in and isolated so not parts from the pick up. Could well be just some crap that has fallen inside the guitar but otherwise I don't have a clue.

Anyone know what these bits might be and if they come from inside the guitar?

Mystery solved. It is the input jack. Don't know what the story is and why such a hi tec jack but there you go. Looks like was a stereo jack but as far as I know not a stereo guitar and only 2 wires connected. Funny thing was jiggled around the guitar still had an output. Off to the shop to buy another
