agree with you oldgit, but if abramovich wants to lash £50m on falcao this summer that's what will happen isn't it?

He will because that's 'petty cash' for him,Stevie. But it needs Mourinho to open his eyes to the scoring potential of some of the other players in his squad now, because we are in dire need of goals up front. Chelsea are making the same mistake we made with Sturridge. Playing Schurrle out wide is NOT where he wants to and should be playing.

Well up to Schurrle to make the most of his start tonight................ive seen nothing from him in months........maybe he doesn,t like being played out wide but you have to take your opportunity when it comes. Big test for Dave at left back tonight imho.

I agree to a certain extent,Keith but I've seen flashes of his predatory instincts around the goal and that hat trick he scored for Germany,a few months back, was different tackle. He just needs a few games on the trot,I reckon.

I would like Hazard not to play against Fulham and for Jose to give Salah and Schurrle a start..........Hazard to me along with Willian are looking a little flat footed and a bit one dimensional..........but we all know Jose and he won,t take risks. We have a nice fixture list for March........... 4 london Derbies and just the 1 away trip tp Villa + the Turks at home.travel wise not too demanding me thinks.

Listening to the television judges.it would seem that all we have to do is turn up at Fulham to get three points but I don't see it that way at all. This will be Felix Magath's first game at home and it won't take a lot of working out that he will be desperate to put on a show for the locals.

I can't believe that there are certain quarters in the media questioning his credentials for taking over at Fulham. Some of them were putting up Alan Curbishley and Ray Wilkins to steady the Fulham ship. So what they have 'experience in the Premier League' or whatever that means? Magath is difference class to those pair of losers. His record in the Bundersliga is there for all to see and is better placed than anybody to turn things round there. I think we will win tonight but it will be a tough slog breaking them down on a small pitch.

Terrible first half. Like many others on another forum, I was calling for Shirley to be subbed for Willian at the break. Then he scored, and again and again! Apparently Jose didn't give/gave a tiny half time team talk. I guess the players knew he wasn't a happy bunny and pulled their fingers out.

In the second half we played a lot better and didn't dilly dally around the box and were always looking threatening, until............we went 3-0 up and invited Fulham on. Why? We are a much stronger team than Fulham and should never play those tactics. With Mikel on we looked like rabbits in the headlights.

Ba looked hungry when he came on and I think Torres played OK. Still, it's the strikers that are our Achilles.

Looks to me like Schurrle is a striker. He's definitely a good finisher.

Most Chelsea goals are coming from players other than Torres, Eto'o, and Ba.

Bring in a player like Drogba in his prime in the summer transfer window and who knows what would happen?

We haven't got a striking pair as effective as Suarez and Sturridge, but it seems to be working.

It will be interesting to see what Jose does.

And Mourhino sold Mata to United. I wonder why?

He doesn't see Moyes United as a threat, and Mata will cause damage to Chelsea's competitors.

I reckon he'll be looking over his shoulder at Brendan Rodgers though.

Anybody got a pirate copy of Jose's views on AVB?

We'll probably have to wait for the book.

I doubt most of us are interested in Jose's views to be honest. The mans a tit.

The rest you say spot on and an excellent piece of business by Chelsea.

Selling a bench player for 37m to a club that is not a competitor is great business, and the way Oscar and Hazard have developed this season it just looks better and better.

Liverpool have to ride their luck regards fitness to key plays but the reality is that the squad strengths of Chelsea and City will surely start paying dividends soon. Still looks like a City/Chelsea run in for the title.

Liverpool look dangerous and still a long way to go.

I like Brendan Rodgers. He probably learned a bit from Mourhino.

Big one against the New Spurs next Saturday.

Can't see what Rodgers has learnt from Mourinho. They seem polar opposites football wise. Rodgers likes to play attacking flowing football so he'd be far likelier to have learnt from Wenger!

Yes i suppose its a big one, its a derby afterall but i doubt you'll have too many problems. I expect a chelsea win i'm afraid. I'd love to be more positive but i just can't see it. It would be funny if the Chelsea machine misfired though!

Horses for courses I suppose. Liverpool and Man City lead the goals scored and goal diff stakes. Impressive.

Chelsea shouldn't be too unhappy with 52 scored and a goal diff of +30 though.

And still 10 games to play.

i can't quite understand how a team with a goal diff of only +4 can be in 5th place.

Yes its strange but you have to remember we shipped sixteen goals in three games and up until our hammering at City i believe we had the second best defensive record in the league. Another stat is that all our home wins have been won with a clean sheet. Nonetheless, strange it is!

United by football. To be honest I would love to be in Brazil for the World Cup.

First time I met the father-in-law to be, he was wearing an Arsenal away shirt.

It was yellow, so Chicog could probably tell us the year.

In fact, he always wore the Arsenal away shirt.

Sadly he passed on before the house was completed.

We must get behind the Chelsea because the Manchester City and the Liverpool play football very well.

Caipirhina for Mr Oscar and a truffle for Mr Hazard. Look after the boys JT.

Apart from FA Cup shirts in 50 and 52, Arsenal started regularly wearing Yellow in 1969.

This one maybe?

Fireworks and drums at the Maracana.

If a little country in Northern Europe called Holland can do it, surely we can.

Come on Roy.clap2.gif

Can do what?

Get out of the group stage?

Italy didn't look much cop yesterday against Spain though.
