Dental care, fillings, & crowns - Udon Thani?

Featured Replies

Hi All

Just a week away from travelling to Thailand, I'm finding I might be in need of some dental care with no time left to arrange something.

If I need fillings or other dental work performed, are there any recommended Dentists or Dental Hospitals in Udon Thani?

Would there be long waiting periods?

I'm also concerned not to end up jeopardizing my dental health.

Cheers.

R

Dental care is available everywhere in Thailand and normally there would not be any wait involved. All large hospitals have an experienced dental department which would probably be best choice if no recommendations.

Go to the Udon Map forum, you should find plenty of info.

There is a large dental clinic in the Aek Udon Hospital. Dr.Daungporn there has been recommended by a TV member. This is probably the easiest place to utilize especially if you do not speak Thai.

There are also a number of small independent dental practices, some locations described here:

These will cost less than Aek Udon but be a little less easy to access for a non-Thai speaker.

Hi Sheryl.

Your referral turned out to be excellent.

Well run hospital.

After registration they weighed me and checked my blood pressure, something my dentist has never done.

I presented with what I thought was about 5 teeth either needing to be refilled or , horror, crowned.

The very professional dr began with sterilization, scrape, then a full clean.

She said my main issue was receding gum line and the fillings were holding up.

Rather than aggressive treatment (crowns) which would present new problems (gum line) she recommended regular, gentler brushing away from the gums, regular flossing, and avoid sugar.

Pleasant to deal with, and ethical.

A departure from those who seek to massage their bottom line.

Thanks Sheryl.

I'm indebted.
