Wanna AI powered "dog" that is 99 percent the same as real?
There is an ad being served to me on FB about a tiny AI powered "dog" with 99 percent of the behaviors of a real dog. I guess they mean as far as interaction with humans and learning to relate to the specific humans in it's sphere. Not biological stuff. Just looking at the videos it's clear to me that their little toy is closer to 1 percent than 99 but hope springs eternal and there's a sucker born every minute. I'm in a no pets condo and I do love dogs so I would definitely be interested in such a "pet" if it really was closer to 99 percent. I get it that it can't be real and could never be exactly the same but there are advantages no feeding, picking up poop, dog sitting, vet bills, etc. If you were in a no pets living situation, would you also be interested in such a chargeable critter? If so, how much would you pay for it? That I haven't really considered. It would obviously need to be expensive. -

Crime Drinking Session Turns Deadly After Music Dispute

A late-night drinking session at a fruit orchard in Chanthaburi Province ended in tragedy when a row over loud music escalated into a shooting, leaving one man dead and a woman injured. The incident occurred in the early hours of 24 August, at a workers’ quarters in Moo 2, Chanthaklem Subdistrict, Khao Khitchakut District. Police and forensic officers were called to the scene after reports of gunfire. The victim, identified as 41-year-old Mr Manop, was found dead with a fatal shotgun wound to the right temple. His brain was exposed by the blast and he died instantly at the scene. A second victim, a 47-year-old woman known only as Ms A, suffered minor injuries after being struck in the neck and shoulder by stray pellets. She was rushed to Khao Khitchakut Hospital for treatment. Investigators recovered more than ten spent cartridges at the scene, including 9mm, .45 calibre and shotgun shells. According to Mr Somboon, 50, the orchard owner and husband of the injured woman, he had just arrived from Pathum Thani and was drinking with around eight friends. As the night wore on, the group dwindled to five, himself, his wife, the victim and two others. At around midnight, gunfire was heard from another nearby orchard, believed to be from a group led by Mr Boy and Mr Mee, who were also drinking. Shortly afterwards, Mr. Manop stepped outside to urinate but became involved in an altercation with the other group and the level of music being played. Within moments, he was fatally shot. Somboon said he and his wife tried to wrestle the shotgun from Boy, who appeared intent on firing again. During the struggle, the weapon discharged, grazing his wife. He then threw the gun away before calling police, while the two suspects fled on a motorcycle. Pol Col Supakit Saengnawakit, superintendent of Khao Khitchakut Police, confirmed that officers collected DNA samples from all those present and were now pursuing the suspects. Boy is believed to be from Pathum Thani, while Mee is a local resident. Police believe the violence stemmed from a dispute over loud music and alcohol consumption between the two groups. Crime Boy 11, Suffers Severe Burns After Being Set Alight by Teen

Surin police are investigating a shocking incident in which an 11-year-old boy was doused with petrol and set on fire by a 13-year-old schoolboy, leaving him with serious burns. The attack occurred around 13:00 on 23 August, in a field near Ban Among, Tha Sawang subdistrict, Mueang district, Surin province. The victim, named locally as Sitthichai, known as “Pai”, was with his cousin when a teenager on a motorbike allegedly poured fuel over him and ignited it before fleeing the scene. Sitthichai sustained burns to his head, neck and chest, with his clothing also scorched. He managed to extinguish the flames by plunging into nearby water before returning home to alert relatives. He was rushed to Surin Provincial Hospital where he remains under treatment. According to deputy village headman Natthaphon Malai, 54, the boy was able to identify his attacker as “Do”, a 13-year-old neighbour from Ban Nong Prue. Police later confirmed the suspect had been taken in for questioning. Conflicting accounts have emerged about the incident. Relatives of the alleged attacker claimed the boys had been grilling fish together and that petrol accidentally splashed onto the victim. However, the injured child told adults that the teenager intentionally poured the fuel on him before striking a flame. Police at Mueang Surin station said multiple witnesses are being interviewed to clarify the circumstances.
