CHIANG MAI: -- Fifteen primary and secondary students were injured after a school van was hit by a wine truck on Chiang Mai-Prao Highway in Chiang Mai this morning.

The incident happened near Sansai district hospital.

The school van was taking 18 students of Dara Wittayalai School and Yupparaj Wittayalai School to schools at 7.40 am when it was hit by a 10-wheel truck loaded with wines and liquors.

The truck fell into a ditch, while the van crashed into a roadside tree after the collision.

All 15 students were admitted to Sansai hospital.

They received minor injuries, police said.

You sound surprised?

Had to be a gut wretching decision on the part of the truck driver.... give in to the natural local instinct to run and on the other hand , the truck was carrying wine and liquor. The article didn't say if any of the truck contents were missing ...... whattya think.....little for injury & medicinal purposes maybe ???
