Virgin Mobile Samsung Galaxy III - no SIM

Featured Replies

On a recent visit to the US, my brother gave me his Samsung Galaxy III that had a month-by-month account. The phone was paid for. I didn't bother opening the phone until I returned to Thailand.....only to discover that there's no SIM.

Is there any way of getting the phone to work in Thailand.....on a Thai SIM? I'm guessing no.....but welcome any ideas.

If there is a slot for a SIM, it will probably work. If there is no SIM slot the phone is probably CDMA and is useless in Thailand.

+1, but with a Month by Month account it (also) probably has a SIM Lock.! But let's see what happens when the OP inserts a Thai SIM.
