Very likely that the battery is ripe for the bin.

If you are not an ambitious DIY man you indeed need either Asus or another repair man to do the job.

Ambitious DIY:

it can be done at about any repair shop.

No soldering or the like but a lot of unplugging delicate connetors, snap-open etc.

After watching this I have an idea that my next device will NOT be one where I can't easily replace the battery.

At my bulky Asus Laptop it is moving two external clamps and done.

I have no local knowledge about Chiang Mai.
