I have a movie downloaded (MKV file) which is 6.21gb, but when I try and transfer it to an empty 7.45gb flash drive I get the message that th file is too big. Why?

Posted

Because your flash drive is formatted in FAT32 which supports file up to 4 Gb in size.

If you want to go over 4 Gb, you need to reformat it in exFAT or NTFS.

Probably because the file system on the flash drive is FAT32 which only support file sizes up to 4 GB. You have to reformat the drive to NTFS instead.
