Hi,

Only old posts about this. Is there still a bus service from Pattaya to Swampy airport?

Are the times the same?

Many thanks for any assistance. wai.gif Does the info below still apply?

Here is the latest information on the above bus services. I went to Pattaya Northern Bus Station on Pattaya Nua today and spoke with the office of Bell Travel Services Co Ltd who are running this service under license from the Government.
The office is in the Bus Station at the top by Bus Park on the right in a separate building. Busses are new blue and white Air-Con coaches which look very comfortable. There is also an air-con waiting room. Email: [email protected]

Pattaya - Bangkok Airport is 150 baht. Booking recommended Tel: 038-370-055-6

Bangkok Airport – Pattaya is 200 baht. Booking recommended Tel: 02-747-4673
Timetable

The lady in the office spoke English and said you will be dropped off at the Airport Terminal Departures Level 4 direct NOT at the Bus Station, in the Transportation Centre. Pick up will be on Level 2 Arrivals Door 10, but please phone 02-747-4673 as you arrive to confirm pick up service is required.

If you refer to Bell Bus service (incl. pickup/drop off at hotel etc.) then the timetables and prices are NOT up-to-date/complete.

Can not even remember to have seen "odd" times ever. Full hour always.

Pattaya - Suvarnabhumi departures are 06:00 09:00 11:00 13:00 15:00 17:00 19:00

Suvarnabhumi - Pattaya departures are 08:00 10:00 12:00 14:00 16:00 18:00

Price 240 Baht when booked via internet.

All data from the booking system for next week:

http://www.belltravelservice.com/

(there is a slight chance that in offseason they cancel some of the departures, I didn't continue the booking)

Schedules:

http://www.belltravelservice.com/shared-transfer/

I repeatedly used this service and recommend it.

Besides that there is the coach to/from Jomtien bus station.

About every hour, about 130 Baht.

No pickup/drop off in Pattaya incl.

All buses go to departure level at Suv.

Depart at Suv. from the transport level (same like the taxis).

These are the times from Bangkok city not Suvarnabhumi!

All van service, no coach.

Often times, at least in the early afternoon, they will add buses on demand from the airport to Jomtien.

e.g. Two days ago I bought a ticket around 100pm for the 200pm bus. I ate in the food court and was walking back toward the seating area by the bus ticket counter and an agent approached me and asked to see my ticket. He exchanged it for a ticket on a 130pm bus (not on the schedule) and told me it was "leaving now." So I skedaddled out to the bus and departed earlier. This has happened to me before, and often they will show a "next bus departure time" on the counter for buses not on the published schedule.

Here is the schedule for the Airport to Jomtien published schedule. The fare seems to change with the rise and fall for fuel prices, and is currently B120. Last year it was as high as B134.

That's sounds plausible.

I remember 134 Baht about a year ago or so.

As written this is the bus to the Jomtien bus "station" near corner of Thepprasit / Thappraya rd.

Bell bus goes to Pattaya North and includes van shuttle to most hotels/appartents etc.

agree the price was 134. It will slow down and stop north of Pattaya Klang in Pattaya and I was on it when it stopped a bit before that also. if you ask, but 9/10 times it just stops automatically. There will be a baht bus or two and a few moto taxis waiting.

A couple times this year when I used the bus to Jomtien, the "bus dragon" didn't just sit at the front and do nothing, s/he (once it was a guy) came through and asked passengers individually which stop they wanted. I thought that was a great idea since many people don't know there are multiple stops and which one is closest to their hotel. The agent doing the sweep had a map of Pattaya/Jomtien and would ask first-timers where their hotel was, and advise them accordingly.

Then at each stop, s/he had a list of who was to get off at each stop, and he would make sure they did.

However, my last couple trips, there was no such service, so not sure if it's just certain folks who do it, or if it was a short-lived service. (Maybe just in High Season, perhaps?)
