Foreigner killed in Cha-Am

Hi,

I just saw this article from yesterday, about a foreigner that was killed in his home in Cha-Am with a shotgun. I haven't found a thread here so I start this one.

I didn't know the foreigner. From this and other media it seems he was provocative and did not behave well, both here and in his home country. But I was surprised his behavior only had led to him being executed with a shotgun in his home.

He was an ex-cop, worked with dogs, had a watchdog, had at least one gun at home, had a business where he worked with "health food".

Putting everything together I thought it sounded more like it could have been a conflict relating to drug handling. But I have no proof at all for that.

To me the picture in the article is really strange. The suspect is sitting relaxed in the middle, seemingly making jokes with some police officers. One officer has a laugh on his face and another one is smiling. Those officers seem to enjoy themselves together with the suspect.

All is almost "too" straight forward - "A load of guns and signs on a table in the picture. Amphetamine in the blood. A frank confession."

I have lived 15 years in Asia but only two years in Thailand. I am not used to evaluating these articles. Do you think this article presents the whole truth? (This press release will naturally take much pressure of the police to present more data on the case.)

(The link name of the article is interesting. It only mentions the insult, not the murder or arrest. It is a quote from the suspect. (Swede insulted my family))
