From a televised English Lesson on a Sunday morning

It is like Manuel in Fawlty Towers: " I aspeak aInglish, I learn it from ebook".
and using an internet dictionary to solve the "puzzing question" (not a typo).

Call me a Dutchman, I really don't see anything wrong with the text - provided that the original question was: "which word could one substitute for puzzling" and: "the correct answer is D: perplexing".

Methinks the OP is a little stupified by the correctness.

Lovely word, by the way: puzzling. Almost as lovely as Zoe. You guys are lucky, having this language as your native tongue.

Thai translations to english in newsprint don't typically recognize the english letter "z".

So "organization" becomes "organisation."

Why is this?

Maybe British spelling?

Appears so.

English is a Germanic language and in German, the letter Z is pronounced "Tsett" - a holdover from both Old English and German.

So the text shown was written by an American?

Not sure which text you're talking about. Maybe your computer or browser is set for British English. Also,Thai's seem to prefer the British style over the American too

Text shown in the article...."puzzling"

Some words the z and s are used the same. Puzzling isn't one of them. You have to use the z. It's hard to say if the text was written by an American or Brit

The question is not whether the translation is theoretically correct, I am sure teacher googled the answers herself.

Issue is about learning spoken and written English that is useful in studies and life for a secondary school student.
an example?
To comprehend may mean to penetrate in the dictionary, and "patronise = support = encourage" but have you heard someone of school going age say:
" Did you and your friend finally penetrate after you did the homework ? " or " I feel so encouraged; without such patronising I would not pass my exams. "
What made me change channels though was the teacher who referred to the "puzzing question" .

And, when reading the link in your post could not stop being amazed .. ..
