I uninstalled Advance System Care

Featured Replies

What drove me nut were the tinytiny messages in the middle of the  screen. I never knew what I agreed to with each click.

I paid but so what,   still better than to do something I do not understand.

Still need to uninstall IObit malware scan, same publisher

Any recommendation what to use instead off?

it´s not only about an Uninstaller , ASC claims to take care of more than that.

What to chose instead off?

CCleaner has an uninstalll program on it. I'd start with that first.

Suggestion CCleaner is welcome. Perhaps I have mislead the discussion. The issue is Advance System Care which claims to do much more than an uninstaller. Because I found Advance System Care obnoxious I uninstalled it.

Now the question is= Should I replace AdSyCare und if so with what?

There's no need for it. I'd get rid of it, just uses up memory and gets in the way.

CCleaner, as one person recommended, is quite similar, though it is not quite as extensive in what it does.   You could use that and SpyBot.

However. I want to ask what msgs in the middle of the screen?  I have using ASC for years and do not get little msgs.  I do get the one upon opening the program that asks if I give it permission to make changes.  That is necessary if I want it to find and delete malware, unwanted cookies,  perform a disc clean, empty the waste basket, defrag, etc.

If that is the msg you do not like, I would say you might have a problem with any program that is not part of your start menu, i.e., authorized to run on boot up.   I specifically deleted both ASC and CCleaner from the start menu.  I do not want them using resources except when I want them to do work.

Revo uninstall  free, uninstall first in normal mode,

and make sure everything is gone in advanced

mode.

Use Malwarebytes as scanner, also Zemana Anti Malware,

both work alongside your main antivirus .both have free versions.

It does take care of a lot more than being an uninstaller, it is a bunch of tools for system maintenance more than anything to do with anti-virus/malware, etc.

The Malware program is completely separate to ASC.

If you are (were) using the paid pro. version, you will have difficulty finding a tool compilation that does a better job. If you want to live on the wild side you could try System Mechanic.
