August 9, 20169 yr Want to download some English movies with Thai sub for the missus. Anyone know a torrent site address for Thais. Tried to get my missus to google it but she has no clue
August 10, 20169 yr If you can't find a Thai torrent site, an alternative would be to download Thai subtitles from the subscene site and add them to the movie yourself.
August 10, 20169 yr Google 'thepiratebay' and install a free program 'utorrent' then search for a movie on piratebay, click the magnet icon, then as said google 'subscene' and download the thai subs from there if available, place in same folder as the movie, job done
August 10, 20169 yr http://www.thaisubtitle.com/ and http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search for just the subtitltes. YIFY for torrents
August 19, 20169 yr Author Am I reading that right? I simply download the subtitle from SUBSCENE (.SRT file), add it to a folder with the movie and just click on the movie and will have subtitles?
August 19, 20169 yr Author Im putting the file onto a flash drive and plugging into the TV. Not playing on the computer, although I guess I could. I have VLC
August 19, 20169 yr When you download subtitles from a site, they mainly come in .SRT file format. What you need to do to make sure they play on a tv from a flash drive etc. is to use exactly the same name for the movie and subtitle file e.g. shrek.mp4 goes with shrek.srt

Last subtitle I went to download said it was a blue ray sub. My movie is AVI. Does it make any difference?
August 19, 20169 yr It will work but the the problem you can encounter is synchronization. If any of the subs you have are out of sync then keep trying different ones until you find the correct one. Once in a while I find there just isn't a suitable sub available.
August 20, 20169 yr There are quite a few Thai torrent sites, most are private, you'll need the wife to help if only to register. If a DVD has been released here it has thai subs/audio track. Obviously the dvds sold on the street have thai subs, often this is the least time-consuming, most reliable method. Some/most/many all TVs which support USB playback also support .srt, just make sure the .srt file is in the same (sub-) directory with the same prefix name, as the associated video file. Check the tv user manual for specs.
August 22, 20169 yr Or subscribe to Iflix for 100 baht a month. Tons of movies with Thai subtitles and some are even with Thai dubbing. Movies are a little older though.Or subscribe to Ilovehd. New movies, some with Thai soundtrack. A lot with Thai subtitles too. TV shows aplenty too. As opposed to their TV service these Movies and TV shows are pretty reliable.
