I need to renew my 5 year license in a couple of weeks and  believe I will need a Letter of Residency as well as doctors certificate and photocopies of relevant passport pages.

Problem is I live in Phetchabun and the local! immigration is dealt with in Phitsanulok.

Is it possible to apply for a LoR via post and how would I go about this, any forms to fill in etc ?

Thanks

no doctors required for 5 year renew.

Aaah but these days I am on an Elite visa and believe that I would only get a 2 year temp license rather than the 5. Thinking better safe than sorry

Just renewed my 5yr license in Pattaya a few days ago on a PE visa, what was needed was...

- old licence.
- photocopy of old licence. (both sides)
- passport.
- photocopy of information page.
- photocopy of entry stamp page.
- photocopy of TM6 departure card.
- letter of residence from immigration.

No medical was required and a 5 yr was issued, I also took a photocopy of the visa but that was returned and not needed.

Test wise, it was brake test, line up the 2 sticks in a box (whatever that is called) and colour chart. After that watch road safety movie, pay money, photo taken and licence issued

Re ubon joe.

Thanks....do you know if a letter of residency can be obtained via post to Phitsanulok as it is a 6 hour round trip from my place to there and back, and would probably have to go back the next day to pick it up. Really don't fancy that :(

I do have a receipt from a recent TM30 that I filed in Phitsanulok...maybe that will be enough I hope.

Via post dunno never done it try ringing em and ask.

There's an immigration office opening in Phetchabun maybe check that out.

A work permit or yellow house book if you have those can be sufficient for address.

Go to your DLT office and explain your problem maybe TM30 will do.

Not much help about here these days on TV with update going on.

What can you tell us about this new immigration office in Phetchabun? I`ve been hearing about this for the last 10 years but recently I`ve had people in the village here telling me they`ve been working in the big government building on the main road just north of town getting such an office ready. Would save the lousy drive to Phitsanulok every year.
