anybody going (or interested to go and meet up) to see Thailand's game against Japan at Rajamangala Stadium Tuesday at 7.15 pm?

Long time I haven't seen a TH game live, and this time I have a specific interest as one of Japan's players is joining my home town's team immediately after the Thailand match.

If so, send me a PM or post something here. will check the board until early afternoon Tuesday. The first SINGHA is on me  -_-

By the way, after losing their first two matches in the group, Thailand's chances of qualifying don't look good unfortunately. Among the remaining matches, there will be the home and away Australia (the favorites in the group) matches; and it will be tough for Thailand to get points in those matches.

But anyway, usually, Thailand doesn't make it this far (I mean, to the last qualifying stage); so I guess this qualification campaign hasn't been too bad for them.

You probably went to the match. How was the atmosphere ?

Eventually I did not go after I heard from many sources that it was sold out already, which obviously has indeed been the case (very unusual, not sure if this ever happened before - I lived a stone throw away from Rajamangala for almost 7 years and saw quite a few matches there).

My home town's new signing scored for Japan LOL (sorry for that, war elephants).

Yes it is true that reaching the final round is already a success for Thailand, and chances are very slim now (even if they had managed to save at least one point in the Saudia match), but considering how popular football is in Thailand, you would expect that they narrow the gap between them and the Asian heavyweights eventually. But the poor structure and organization of Thai football will probably make this impossible. Foreign help could make them improve, but such thing is not wanted in the kingdom

Over the last 10 years been to quite a few thailand games. When i first went the stads were next to empty, virtually no press coverage. Not sure on tv coverage but certainly no interest in general from the bulk of thais. Interest though is growing last time i went which was the last kings cup the ground wasnt totally full but there was a decent crowd and the atmospher was really good , the footie wasnt the best but IMO that'll only get better. Wc runs like these will really help thai football progress all round. looking forward to seeing a few more thailand and club games in the future.

Would go if I was in Bangkok. It would certainly be a more interesting event than watching an England tournament qualifier, which I did at Wembley a couple of years ago.

when i've paid, its always been on the door, the last games i went to there was a  cue but  wasn't that long a wait, but there wasn't a great choice of seats  ,  if i pay again i'm gonna book online  to get better seats,  not sure on current world cup games but 2 be sure I'd book on line.
