ANDREW J. WOOD, ETN THAILAND CORRESPONDENT

HUA HIN: -- Run For Hua Hin is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 9, 2016 starting at the True Arena in Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, Thailand.

It is hoped the event will boost the image and confidence in Hua Hin as a tourism destination while also increasing visitors and revenue for the town.

The event is supported by major Thai sponsors such as Blu Port Resort Mall, True Corporation, Thai Life Insurance, MahaSamutr Development, Park 24 Project, Gems Gallery as well as Proud Real Estate, Vana Nava Hua Hin Water Park, and Intercontinental Hua Hin Resort.

Clutching at straws. Except for Chinese. Thailands tourism is on a downward spiral.

Do you have actual trustworthy stats to back this up? "Downward spiral" implies a drastically large decrease. Is this actually the case with tourism in Hua Hin?

Maybe not if all the runners; dress as Pokemon. Let the good times roll.

An expected 10000 runners seems a bit high?  Perhaps I am totally wrong (it has been known  ) but perhaps 2000 would be closer to the mark?  Still, even 2000 will no doubt be reported as 10000, as targets always seem to be reached here, so no harm done.
