Thai 5 year licence expires on my birthday, when is best time to renew?

It seems all the info re renewing a 5 year licence is unavailable, at least I can't open that thread. Anyway, my 5 year licence will expire next year on my birthday, to get the maximum time, ie nearly 6 years, is it best to renew a day after my birthday? I actually got my 5 year in September, but it expires in August, how does that work?

 

Yes, renew the day after. Just take into account that on that day you don't have a valid DL.

Your 5 year license expires on your birthday as stevenl says renew it the day after your birthday

then you will get nearly 6 years on your next license.

Thanks for the replies, I thought that was the case, but good to have it confirmed.

I have found it best to go shortly after lunch.Much less people, much quicker.
