How to get from Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi Airport early in the morning

Dear all,

my outbound flight will be at 09:05 am.

Which options are available - besides private taxis - and what are the costs to get from Pattaya at about 04:00 am to Suvarnabhumi Airport?

Any helpful information will be highly appreciated.

That was our same original plan, the last time, on the same leg as you are doing...

Instead we luckily made a booking to instead spend the last night at, in our case, the Novotel at Suvarnabumi.

For morning departures, I usually taken an afternoon or evening bus (either from Bell Travel or bus station in Jomtien) and stay at Silver Gold Garden hotel for B750.

That works well for me as a Thailand resident.  For a tourist visiting here it does slice off a night of revelry in Pattaya.

I do the same for overseas flights arriving late in the evening or early morning.  I find it much better to get off the plane, take the free shuttle to the hotel for a hot shower and go to bed, and take a bus to Pattaya or Jomtien around noon.

Yes, there are a lot of quite cheap hotels within a few km of the airport in Lat Krabang, starting from around 500B or so. Some have free transfers, some charge. Some are nice but some can be pretty nasty (especially the ones that get filled up with Chinese) so it pays to read the reviews carefully. That Silver Gold one looks nice enough. Also watch out for ones that are stuck at bottom end of some god-forsaken side soi with nothing nearby. I find it much better to be a few minutes walk from some sort of mall or market.

Easy to answer....Mr T 1000 Baht all in including tolls.  Just google name and pattaya and it comes up. Must have done 50 off trips with him without issue once

I always [email protected]

He'll respond promptly confirming arrangements

Yes, can confirm Mr T is very efficient. On airport hotels, wife has stayed at Thong Ta resort a couple of times, says it's a nice place, quite central for Lat Krabang, and a free minibus both ways.

You could catch a late night minivam to Bangkok, and then perhaps the train to the airport (if it operates during the time you need), or a taxi from Bangkok to the airport (around 300 baht).

A van to Bangkok is around 100-150 baht.

UNRELIABLE: http://tomtaxiservice.com/
I used the service many times satisfactorily from Pattaya to the airport and from the airport to Pattaya, until a recent incident when I booked a car for a transfer from the airport to Pattaya. My flight arrived at night time. Normally I was met by a driver in the  arrival hall at a certain gate but this time I could not located him there. So I called the driver on the phone and there was no answer. I called another number listed on the service's website but got a message that it was off. I checked my email and there was nothing from the service provider about any cancellation or problems. I sent them an email asking what was going on. Before that they replied almost immediately but this time after waiting for 30 min more there was nothing. Tried all the numbers again without success. Ended up hiring a standard meter-taxi downstairs for B1600 to Pattaya. I'm not going to use tomtaxiservice.com ever again.

Sadly I must inform you that "Tom" was murdered and buried in a deserted Kanjanaburi resort. The topic is linked below.

Wow.  I had read the news reports about *a* "tom" discovered buried in Kanchanaburi, but never put 2 + 2 together to deduce it was *the* Tom of TomTaxi in Pattaya!
