BANGKOK:-- Investigators look at who might gain from kiling of ex-land official

 

AN ongoing police investigation is now focusing on who might benefit from the suspicious death in custody of Tawatchai Anukul, a suspect in an illegal land-deeds case.

Tawatchai, 66, died while in custody of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) on August 30, less than a day after he was arrested on charges of illegitimately issuing land title deeds worth about Bt10billion.

I heard that Tawatchai was very mean to poor people who have murderous tendencies. He was particularly mean to the Burmese ones. 

Motives, eh? Perhaps the old bill could start by checking who the 10 billion baht worth of illegally issued land deeds were issued to.

 

They could also interview the department staff, work colleagues from elsewhere, family and close associates, friends and other acquaintances and the staff from his local 7-11.

We could be in for the usual BIB speculation that the motive could be..., or..., or... and so on.

I see you are one step ahead of the BIB. I assume you followed the same process they will utilise:-

Step 1. Download the list of those who can do no wrong.

Police, Military, close friends and family, affiliates of the former etc.

Step 2. Check who else that leaves (recheck against list in step 1.)

Step 3. Ask those identified in step 1, who they want to blame.

Step 4. If no positive response, blame foreigners. There is a prefered order of blame, Burmese, Urghers, Rohinya etc etc.

Police find large quantity of ya ba, suspect drug trafficking;

Police find body in freezer cut into pieces, suspect murder;

Police find car overturned 15 meters below expressway, suspect accident;

Police find car large haul of weapons, suspect foul play;

Police find witness in 10 billion baht land title deed case dead in a secure DSI cell with ruptured liver, suspect someone might have made him die, but not murder, for motives unknown.

Surly that would be the riddle of the ages to figure out who would benefit from the

silencing a major witness to all those shady dealing,

No need for the MENSA group to be called, a good place to start will be with the people who stand to lose

billions and be prosecuted for sitting on land that doesn't belong to them.....

..., but since he was helped to death before he could implicate anyone, investigators are now facing the difficult choice of either digging their noses, or scratching their butts.

Maybe also focus on who had the opportunity to silence the man

Deaf, dumb,  blind, mute to the truth, appears to be a quality that is most desired for the bib involved in criminal investigation, on a very select basis of course. The handling of this case may set a new low standard for the fair haired boys club.

I'm eagerly awaiting the future police announcements re the motive/suspects in this death.  Possible candidates to watch out for:

 

-- he was getting divorced and estranged from his angry wife.

--he was involved in a land deal where he allegedly defrauded fellow investors

--his neighbors were upset because he had too many Mercedes parked on the street in front of their homes.

--he had failed to tip his local motocy driver on a recent trip

 

Perhaps something more inventive than those likely candidates...

I'd be very surprised if they didn't know and are busily engaged in arranging things to suit what's required rather than a proper start to finish investigation.

While the ongoing investigation has all the appearance of a dog's breakfast, it's worthwhile noting that CPR often causes fractured ribs, even when applied by trained health personnel, and that rib fractures cannot always be accurately detected on X-ray

It is also the case that CPR can rupture the liver.  This seems to be rare but, the liver is the internal organ most commonly damaged by CPR

Possible the best bet would be to find out who murdered him and work from there, that shouldn't be too hard, who was on shift that night in the lockup or who came and went during the evening (sorry no CCTV on the entrance or other exits). it wouldn't  be rocket science to sort except we don't want to work it out- a bit like Schultz - WE know nothing .
