I think there are three food zones in HH.

Between Phetchkasem and the beach is pretty-well falang-oriented. Pizza and burgers easy to find along with blanded-out Thai-for-tourists. It is the hotel area after all.

Between Phetchkasem and the train tracks its more Thai and less compromising.

Across the train tracks its much more Thailand.

The zones are priced accordingly.

Market Village aka TescoLotus has been open for well over a year now.

Hilton was originally the Melia, a Spanish hotel (so rooms may be more Euro size than American size (ie. less than 1/4 acre).
