King's Birthday

As everybody knows, on tuesday the 5th we will all celebrate the birthday of H.M the king.

Is there any show or celebration planned somewhere in Bangkok ?

I understand there will be a firework display at Rama 9 park (Srinakarin Road behind Seri centre) that starts around 7pm. There is also a rather nice flower display etc. there at the moment so it could be a good day out.

for boxing fans lots of fights starting tonight at Sanam Luang at around 4pm going on until early hours of morning and again tommorow. Tonight has two different promotions going on with lots of Thai vs Foriegn boxers competing against each other.

There was a nice display last night there (4th), had to stand on the ice box in my garden to see it, but nice all the same.
