What are the quality of the returns on a real query? Writing a script to search multiple sites and lump it all together is easy, but it's quite another to return quality results, weed out spam, etc.

These megasearch sites pop up and dissappear all the time.

The quality of a query is the precision and relevant results. The results displayed in seek64 are exactly the ones you may find if you search with an independent Google /Yahoo or Live search engine.

Whether these sites appear or disappear was not my concern.

Now..they are providing good sevice...if disappear...no problem return to google/yahoo.... :o

search result for the word " boy " in seek64 : 807,286,138 and same search in webcrawler : 108 !!!

seek64 : 807,286,138

webcrawler : 108

Oh! WOW! seek64 got way more results than webcrawler so it must be better!

:D

108 seems like a far more manageable result.

Oh, btw, I did not use the word boy in my search. :o

I have no problem getting hits on google, it's the "search in results"

that are sometimes bothersome.

Using quotation marks and other techniques offcourse narrows it down

somewhat.

It's not the quantity of hits that really matters, finding what you're looking for is.
