In US-politics, I opposed the "right" when they tried to shove their agenda on everyone by federal-force.  Now I oppose the "left" who has done the exact same thing.  No more bullying - by either side!!  It has to STOP.

Trump never had an issue with gays - never bashed them.  Hillary wanted to bring in millions of "refugees" who think gays should be put to death.

In the USA, it has come down to "Bake a pro-gay cake," even if it goes against someone's religious views, or go to jail / pay huge sums in court.  That is just as evil as the religious-right in the 80s wanting to "stop gays."

Do what you want.  Let others do what they want.  No one has the right to force someone else to "approve" of their personal decisions / relationships - nor to force someone to change their personal decisions / relationships.

Sir,

I agree with you.

Thank you for your post.

No one has mentioned trans gender "right" to use toilets of the opposite sex farce. That will no doubt be going away very quickly, as well as all the other PC BS that they tried to bring in.

However, I expect vets will be much happier about things that actually matter.

Everything I said is the truth and you would know that too if you had paid attention during the election.

Everything you said was said on the campaign trail. How much of it will be manifested as action? We'll have to wait and see. Considering Trump's record of backtracking, denying statements made and whatnot, perhaps some place too much trust in his word.

The main issue with Trump's presidency is not necessarily potential future actions as much as the atmosphere of uncertainty he projects.

Seriously, you don't believe trump will pick from his list of SCALIA like justices? Lots of things he said are B.S. like about the wall, but there is no logical reason why he wouldn't pick from that list. As the winner he has that right and he has the senate that will confirm. My list was about consequences of that.

Disasterously damaging to America's stature, leadership, and moral authority.

A day which will live in infamy and America will come to deeply regret almost immediately.

but , on the other hand ??

Do you not understand the system? He doesn't have that power either way. He has the power to pick SCOTUS justices that DO have the power to overturn ROE vs. WADE.

If Americans want a different way to appoint SCOTUS judges they can change the constitution.

The weak point of democracy is that there are always losers. However, till AI takes over and rules the world, democracy is the best of a lot of very bad political systems.

He has to at least try to build the wall, help the vets, cancel TPPT, renege on the Iran deal, renegotiate NAFTA, replace Obamacare, cut taxes and reduce regulations. He might not get it done, but he HAS to try.

I think the list stems from him trying to steal the evangelicals from Cruz and the black guy whose name I've forgotten. I'm sure it is no trouble to make another list.

You've stated your position - ages ago. Why do you need to keep banging on about it? It's cluttering up the thread.

Why are liberals so scared of upholding the constitution? If they don't like it, change the constitution.

This is normal for Jingthing - even down to the weasel way he replied without quoting me directly.

He knows who he is talking to - he probably also knows I've been in Puerto Vallarta area for months. He knows that's a strong gay community - and he knows I'm telling the truth.

He's too busy trying to win a childish online argument than being man enough to admit it. Every single one of my gay friends here would tell you straight this election was all about control of the court as they feared losing their rights to gay marriage etc.

I agree that gay marriage should be legal - it's got nothing to do with anyone except those in the relationship. I detest the idea that law should be overridden by politicians - it's a serious fault in the American system.

Who's he talking too....?

Perhaps one of the best thing that could happen to the world, surely the worst that could happen to America.

Why doesn't everyone wait and see what he does before getting upset about it. He's not going away.

Congrats to Mr Trump and America,  Trump does not have a lot to improve on does he over the past 8 years of presidential failure. Anything would have been better than Clinton.

Listen, I've just spent the last four months in the largest US gay community in Mexico. Every single day this election has been the only topic of conversation. Of the hundreds of people I have heard discuss this election, every single one has talked about how it's essetial to get the Supreme Court pick.

I'll take the opinion of gay men and women that still live in and contribute to American society over you any day in the week.

Take the opinion of those gays as much as you want. Ain't gonna change the result though. A great day for the real world.

and now for that Presidential Pardon for Julian Assange...

I think Assange's legal troubles are with Sweden.

But nonetheless, I love living in Thailand -- I asked my 2 favorite non-English speaking Thai females today did they know that it is a big day in America today? And they both said NO.

Keep up please. His fear is that if he is extradited to Sweden they will send him to the US. if the US president says he will not be tried in the US he will go to Sweden to answer the bogus charges.

I expect the Clinton insiders are shaking in their boots for the retribution on the way from Crooked Hillary. Huma Abedin is likely on a plane to Saudi already.

Wherein the "right to abortion" was conjured out of thin air...even RBG has said it was a poorly reasoned and thought-out decision with no basis in law or the Constitution.

He hasn't been charged with anything yet in the US and I don't know that Trump's AG would be the one to press charges. But you're right -- I don't keep up.
