please don't say this as a suicide.

I think the police may be a little more savvy this time while this one will go down on the record as:

 "Assisted Suicide"

Colonel Corrupt says to Sargent Doolittle:

"That is brilliant reasoning, my boy....Why did we not think of that one a long time ago....You are going to be promoted for this....."

Meantime....RIP

Of course it was suicide.  Haven't you heard of assisted suicide, that's when someone else holds the knife for you and performs the cutting action. :wai:

Don't you know that people on this forum don't bother reading all the replies that have already been made,  they just post their own comments whether or not someone else might have already said the same thing.

Plus they can't wait to imply the Thai police are incompetent.

Yes, and whether it is a repeat or another dullard response it will be skipped over.

Nothing missing, still has wallet with money and credit cards. No signs of forced entry.

Ok, what the logical conclusion, the most likely scenario?

Serial killer walking around town with a 12 inch knife, knocks on his door at random, just happens to choose a depressed guy whose wife just left him, comes in, convinces the guy the walk into the toilet so he can slash his throat just for the fun of it?

Why didn't they tell about the dead french man name? Maybe other people who know him can bring more clues to investigate about the man.

"Nothing missing, still has wallet with money and credit cards." - no need to steal a few baht if you stand to inherit a pick-up truck, property, farm, business, or a combination of of these.

Gross speculation - zero reports about his cicumstance other than   'the deceased had got divorced from his wife prior to leaving for Thailand'

Sounds like he had a French wife .... ?

Not speculating, simply saying such basic inquiries should be part of the investigation.

Just because there are no signs of robbery in the room, doesn't mean robbery, possibly through inheritance, was not a motive.

"Sounds like he had a French wife .... ?" - or, he was coming back to Thailand to find another Thai wife.
