Am I Supposed to wear a Suppository Amulet?

Featured Replies

My wife picked up a pack of these suppositories yesterday. Frankly, I thought that using them would have been simple enough until, as I always do....I read the packaging instructions!

Can anyone clarify how they are supposed to be used? Do you simply hold them near enough and they magically draw out the offending article like a snake charmer, or is there some special Thai Amulet required to be worn? Maybe you just pop them in your back pocket?

Answers on a postcard please.

Google search took a few seconds.

Uses: Conlax 10 mg suppository is used to treat constipation.

How to use: Insert one suppository rectally once a day as needed.

Side Effects: Stomach pain or cramping, nausea, diarrhea, faintness

Push them up your arse with your finger and keep pushing until your eyes water.  (Externally of course) :shock1:

Take with a glass of water.

Now here was a thread title that got my attention!

Push it in your rectum, use some vaseline or lubricant gel if necessary. You will feel once it has passed the sphincter, it will not  be comfortable until it has, then you will no longer feel it. If it plops out, or if you can feel it there, you did not  insert far enough.

Be warned that it works fast - can be as quick as 10 or 15 minutes (though in some people can take up to an hour). So plan accordingly, i.e. be at home and near the bathroom.

The effects can last for some time in some people (especially if you are really stopped up) so npt advised to do before bedtime unless you want to risk a bad night's sleep.

'External'; that means  when you use them, do it outside. Like in the yard or the driveway.

You kind of missed the point really - I know what they are and where they are supposed to go! They are to pushed up the arse (INTERNAL) Yet the box says EXTERNAL USE ONLY!!!

Did get that but it is foreign medicine designed for limited English speaking markets - I would just take it to mean not to eat in this case as it is clearly labeled suppository.   Expect paperwork inside would be more specific?

I hope everything works itself out for you.
