LAMPANG:-- Triggered by heavy rains for two consecutive days, flash flood swept through a large area in Muang Pan district of Lampang province on Friday, submerging over 30 houses and causing extensive damage to rice fields
 

Muang Pan district officials who inspected the flood-hit villages said that the flood water level in some villages was about one metre high.

Sorry that so many have had their crop damaged, but there's still so much oversupply that prices are still way down this year.  Bad year for rice farming.

The last few days I have seen stalwart farmers and helpers harvesting flattened crops by hand. Most have no choice, as it being their only living. 'Some years are easier than others' comes to mind.

They're out there today, about half the crew he would normally use.

They're  just cutting it and leaving it laying to dry.
