Galaxy S5 no WiFi

Featured Replies

"Security policy prevents use of unsecure WiFi networks" - connects to my secure home network for 2 seconds, then this appears.

Same fone used here and overseas for over 2 years - never a problem.

No other security apps on fone. Online help does nothing. Web search reveals many fixes - none work.

Any Ideas ?

Have you tried to "forget" that WiFi network? Also making sure that there are not multiple entries for that network?

Then turn WiFi off/on - or better reboot the phone.

Single entry. Reboot X 2. One thing new - select Settings select WiFi - three buttons top TH side all greyed out except Advanced. Don't remember seeing this before, but never had this problem before.

Took the Plunge - Factory Reset. Backed up contacts. Works well now. Now just off to AIS to have the data back via cellular. WiFi as it should be.
