My battery is on the way out. Somebody in BKK must sell new ones. I looked up the price on Amazon and they're about $30, more no doubt here. Where's a reliable place in BKK I can pick one up without getting ripped off?

Ask b2s ... they are one of the few retailers who sell kindles in Thailand. Or sent an email to ereaderthailand.com ... they import kindles for B2s.

 Ebay. I got one around a month ago company called "battery-sales-1" Cost £7.84 inc p+p to Thailand.

There is a shop in a big department store about the fifth or sixth floor,  beside the BTS at the opposite side of the Erawan Shrine sells them.

I forget the name of the shop, but I'm sure some poster will know.
