My wife lost her thai drivers license. She got it Cha Am last year.

This year we've got new passports with new numbers.

So her passport number is different from the one on her lost license.

What is the easiest way to get a replacement?

Go to a police station and report the loss. They will give you a confirmation letter.

Your wife, assuming Thai, should take that letter, with her ID card to a Land Transport Office who should issue her with a replacement one.

If your wife is not Thai, then just take the expired and new passport with the police letter to the LTO, hopefully that will suffice. They may request a proof of address letter, hopefully not.

I keep a copy of my licence just in case.

When I updated my passport I then went to the LTO to update my licence. Doing that proved to be a good move for banking etc
