Straight swap for Ronaldo maybe.

Hard to believe those mugs paid us £1m to loan Julien Faubert for half a season on the bench..

I don't see the point in those stores anyway. They'll be quiet most of the year. And everything they sell is available online or at the ground.

WHU see the point, they just don't want to pay for them.

Just some disgruntled Os fan, don't rise to his diatribe,he feels hard done by believing Layton Orient should have took over the Olympic Stadium, have you ever heard such a preposterous thing in your life.

I for one haven't.

I don't think you will find a post with me stating that I want Leyton Orient to take over the Olympic Stadium.

I object to the taxpayer forking out the money for WHU to be there. I hope the O's never leave Brisbane Rd

it's their home, the same as Upton Park was the home of the hammers. Watching them (some with binoculars)

play at the Olympic Stadium will never feel the same for WHU supporters. I feel sorry for them.

Actually I have no dislike of West Ham and have enjoyed going to Upton Park often, not just to see the O's but lots of other games. I used to stand near the half way line, under the stands (opposite the chicken run side) and liked the atmosphere when the ground was full. That compactness made the atmosphere what it was and I really wouldn't want to move to an athletic stadium if I were a WHU supporter. It's not like other clubs who have re-modeled their grounds or had one purpose built, it's an athletic stadium and I never understood why the O's wanted to ground share. Still, your porno squad management seem to think that's what is best, so good luck to them.

Guess WHU new ground will be similar in some ways to the Commonwealth games stadium/Etihad: atmosphere suffers but brilliant facilities for the fans.

Would I rather be at Maine Road or Etihad? Etihad easily for me.

Having been going there since 1975 and having also watched rugby league at the Sydney Olympic stadium which is far too big for most games, I'm expecting it to be shit. But they have installed moveable lower seating and have already essentially sold out for a season at least and are increasing capacity from 60k to 66k (those ones will need the binoculars), so it might be ok. Those who are used to being at the front will be disappointed, but I've been in the upper tier for some years and think it will be similar.

You do know that was a spoof site don't you? There's a good reason the store was shut.

Of course I'm not cool with it but it's got nothing to do with long distant (fond) memories of going to Upton Park quite often. It's a different topic of which I share your sentiments. The deal is done and dusted thanks to good old Boris. I look at the WH owners and want to puke. I just hope the O's can battle on and getting out of Div 2 would be a massive help. Personally, as a fan I prefer to stay where we are, but I'm an old guy rather set in my ways and no doubt if the had got ground share, the younger generation would have loved it. I'm looking forward to the new season and I look forward to two things, the O's going up and WH going down, that would be a season to relish.

Maybe Orient can benefit in some way, such as arranging games to be on the day day at different times so that people can more easily go to both. I'm sure someone is sentimental enough about Kevin Nolan...

As a former supporter of certain Northern and East Anglia teams (before moving to London in my twenties), I have to say that I always liked West Ham and Spurs. They played attractive football and you could usually beat themtongue.png

Arsenal and Chelsea on the other hand!
