Looking for food importing company

Featured Replies

I would like to get in contact with any TV member that owns, or works for a food importing company in Thailand.

My country (Greece) produces (standardized) best extra virgin olive oil, honey (thyme honey etc.), tomato sauce products and wine to start with.

My personal survey shows these products will have an escalating demand, for as long as the Thai economy keeps a positive growth.

Original target would be in the tourist section, upscale restaurants and hotel restaurants. Ultimate target would be a constant presence in supermarket shelves.

My opinion is that the mediterranean diet is still relatively unexplored in Thailand. These products are basic products used in any western style kitchen.

I can promote, start with a few customers and later appeal nationwide. These products can be shipped easily as they are standardized and can withstand

temperature differences  and long shipping times (except wine). I am familiar with aggressive marketing strategies -and very willing to use them-.

I will be in BKK early January. I can provide samples and I can provide appropriate business  flexibility that is required.

Even if you are not interested, your business experience regarding this field, will be much appreciated, so, go on and post your opinions and/or experiences.

I speak -medium- Thai and have operated a retail food business at a tourist destination in Thailand. Thanks.
