Hi all, have a query and appreciate if somebody who has similar experience to give some advice, Wife and her sister had inherited(signed over at the land office) 8 rai of paddy field from the father before he died, now mother n other siblings claimed that they can take back the land because both wife and sister are married to foreigner. Of course the two sisters did most of the support for the family but now they forgotten but only eyeing the free land. The mother keep insisting that the pui yai say that whoever look after the mother will get the land which I doubt any truth to it.  Any feedback will be much appreciated.

The bit about rights changing because married to a farang is utter b***ocks. Get the wife to have a lawyer sort out who has rights to the land.
It should be quite a simple process but expect some greedy actions from the family.

If it has been signed over at the land office then there are no issues. The land is owned by those with the name on the deeds.

Suggest to the rest of the family that, if they have an issue with that they should contact a lawyer. That way they pay for it.

My guess would be that they will soon back down.

that said, and if your wife and her sister still like support their mother, they could do so by something very salomonic. Tell Mom to keep all rice yields from those 8 rai of paddy,  and do whatever she likes with it
