Gang of seven rob undercover officers, charged with theft

PHUKET: -- A gang of seven was arrested for attacking and robbing two undercover police officers in Phuket Town on Sunday morning.

The Phuket City Police officers went straight to their station to report the crime and worked together with Col Kamol Osiri in order to locate the suspects via CCTV footage.

“The teens had robbed the officers of two guns, bullets and a necklace. We spotted five of them on CCTV, heading to Patong on three motorbikes. We ran one of the number plates and found the owner, who told us that his son-in-law was using his motorbike.

That's scary on more than one front.  Police officers guns stolen by troubled youth heading to Patong, what could possibly go wrong?

So 2 trained undercover police officers could not defend against 7 teenagers ... no hope for the BiB ..

That photo is from a previous story about a guy cop dressing as a woman to catch a molester.

The fact that, not one, but two, armed officers of the law (and I use the term lightly) could be separated from their sidearms by a group of civilians, points to a serious lack of training and situational awareness.

like it or not...in Chicago, a similar incident would result in 7 dead punks...the Thai police are simply a joke...why are they even allowed to exist, if the army has to do anything slightly dangerous?

If I molested that,I would expect a lengthy sentence or at least a few bookings at speck savers and some psychiatric help.

Story stinks.
I would be more inclined to believe these are made up charges to put away some troubled youth/addicts who they just don't like.
