Do I need to pick up documents in Thai at the transport office to transfer the car from my name to the new owner ?   And what about the old insurance , it follows the car?   Should I receive the money first before we sign any documents ?  Thanks. 

 

 

You need to bring the Blue Book, your passport and a Certificate of Residency from Thai Immigration. All other documents are provided by the transportation office. And yes get the money up front.
