Number one son is starting at Websters University in HH in January. He will doubtless want tovisit hoe (currently just outside Pattaya), and I am hoping that as a student there will be cheap options, and many students who already know the best ways of doing this.

bus/coach to Souther Bus Terminal about 170 baht departing every 30 minutes - aircon bus to the new airport 35 baht - bus/coach to Pattaya about 100 baht (departs at least 3 times per day but probably many more by now)

It details BKK to HH via minibus, just reverse the steps.

Bus to Pattaya from Ekkamai is 120 baht, leaves every half hour.

2) Bus to Southern Terminal is slow and one arrives in the 3rd world, ie, the terminal is chaotic resembling Kinshasa or Kabul or similar: little info in English, nobody seems to know anything, no centralized ticketing area and one is faced with a pain in the arse 30 min. bus to the Skytrain in order to cross town to Ekkami where the Pattaya buses are.
