 ... and in hospital, requires surgery - needs rare blood type (A negative)
If anyone has or knows a person who has, - they can donate blood at Thai Red Cross .He is at Paolo Hospital ChokChai 4 , Bangkok. Thanks to any who can help. His name is Robert (Bob) Guthrie. I think he's in real danger.

O negative can be used as is universal for blood transfusions and yes for A negative patients, but yes it is always preferable to use existing type if available.

 

Sorry to hear this but surely the hospital does have O negative on hand, I could be wrong though.
