Report Pattaya Beauty Clinic Raided for Unlicensed Medical Procedures
Pictures courtesy of Pattaya Mail Police raided a beauty clinic in Soi Kor Phai, just off Thepprasit Road in Pattaya, after receiving complaints about its unlicensed operations and unqualified staff performing medical procedures. The clinic, promising beauty enhancement services, was caught operating illegally on April 23. Under the command of Police Major General Teerachai Chamnarnmor, officers from the Region 2 Investigation Division, along with Jirasan Meerattanawat, Senior Specialist Pharmacist, and officials from Chon Buri’s Provincial Public Health office, inspected the clinic following numerous reports of substandard and illegal practices. Situated in a four-storey commercial building, the clinic offered beauty services such as injectable fillers, Botox, and skin vitamin treatments without licensed medical professionals. Upon their arrival, investigators encountered a 35-year-old receptionist, referred to as A, and other staff promoting unauthorized treatments. During the inspection, a 37-year-old woman, B, was found administering a filler injection to a client on the ground floor, assisted by another staff member, C, also 37. Further investigation revealed medical supplies, including Botox and syringes, stored on the second floor, while the third floor had been converted into a facial massage room. The clinic was unable to provide any operating permits or medical licences, and staff members lacked any professional qualifications, raising immediate concerns for patient safety. Consequently, all staff were detained for questioning at Pattaya City Police Station. Jirasan Meerattanawat explained that the Public Health Office had received numerous complaints regarding the clinic’s use of unqualified personnel, prompting the urgent investigation. The police have filed multiple charges against the clinic, including operating without a licence, running an illegal medical facility, and performing medical services without valid certification. Legal proceedings are ongoing, and the police have vowed to continue cracking down on unlicensed medical operations to ensure public safety remains a top priority in the region.
