Jatuporn given bail after 3 months in detention

BANGKOK: -- Imprisoned United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) Jatuporn Promphan was granted bail by the Criminal Court on Tuesday after spending about three months in detention at Bangkok special prison.

Jatuporn’s lawyer, Winyat Chartmontri, tried unsuccessfully for seven times to convince the court to grant bail to his client. On his seventh trial on Tuesday, he told the court that his client felt guilty for his past mistake for breaking the court’s bail condition and that his client was sick and, at the same time, had to take care of four children.

Upon receiving the request for bail, the court said Jatuporn was already detained in prison for three months which was long enough for him to feel guilty and feel repentant .

Arai wa??????? Are you kidding me????:bah:

yes I didn't mean to order the burning of Bangkok and be in charge of an organisation that is responsible for murders bombings shootings and various other terrorist activities.

Instead of wasting the courts time with all these presentations why don't they get on and hear his appeal - such a waste of resource on this vile thug

Jatuporn feeling remorse, repentant??! Never going to happen. He is a complete thug and deserves to be eliminated from the public arena.

Lol TIT

Same feeling I got for Suthep and Issara.

Is he the leader who wanted all protestors to bring a molotovcocktail to BKK to burn the city down?

Yes a clear criminal/terrorist and still supported by the reds.. kinda says it all. Proves what a violent organisation they are.

This man is a terrorist. responsible for treason against the state. He is responsible for billions of dollars worth of property damage, and perhaps tens of billions of dollars worth of damage to the Thai economy, by attempting to shut down the capital. He should be tried, and sentenced to decades in prison, where he can become good friends with some of the inmates, who will treat him to a very good time, and show him what wreaking destruction really looks like. Again, an example of a very weak, and completely broken judiciary, who should be hanging their heads in shame. And another example of how people with wealth and influence do not pay the price for their crimes here. Above the law. Any and all laws.

How anyone can believe him is beyond me

No.

Arisman Pongruangrong and Nattawut Saikua were the arsonholes urging the Reds to burn the city.

Can't find video of old Jatubox doing same. Maybe someone can?

So, you agree, Jatuporn, Suthep and Issara, to name a few, are all thugs in arms?

Agreed.

I mean that leader who openly asked the mass (on video) to go to BKK and if each of them would bring a litre of fuel in a bottle they could burn whole BKK to ashes...a week later Central World mall was put on fire during protests and all valuables were stolen first.

So that's not him? Where is that leader now then?

Arisman was the main instigator, along with Nattawut.

Arisman was jailed, as was Nat but may be out on bail, who knows in this society?

Just post his name on YouTube, you can do it.

If only the people of Thailand had been conditioned to the principles of the Judaeo-Christian god of retribution, rather than the Buddhist ideal of compassion.  (What with all this ignoring criminality, letting people "walk", and pardoning people "en masse".  It is so frustrating)

It would make everything so much easier for us Westerners.

So much more like "home".

But they're not out on bail, pending appeal against conviction, arrogantly repeatedly breaking the bail conditions, and know when to keep off the radar.

He's taken 3 months before deciding to grovel. What they should do is speed up the process of his appeals.

You should try reading the New Testament as well as the Old one. Or become a Catholic where anything and everything can be forgiven especially for a suitable donation!

He's still the leader of the UDD. I must've missed his election to that post somehow!

They tried that.................... it didn't work.

A bit later, perhaps.

Yes your right, how can there be a democracy in Thailand when one side has a secret terrorist army that is used to suppress dissident voices. The peaceful protesters against the amnesty were shot bombed ect. Then the army stepped in and the PTP and others felt how it was to be on the wrong end of the stick and moaned and bitched about it. However when they used similar tactics before (as described before + the burning of BKK) people call it democratic because they got a democratic wing.. pure sham IMHO. IRA and  Sinn Fein springs to mind. Its nice to have a secret wing of terrorists.. easy to deny .. they are not connected.. the red shirts are not hierarchical ect. ect. and other B.S.

Fact is there was never a real democracy here and getting one will be a real hard task. As long as so much money can be made in politics both sides will do whatever to get in power to loot the states coffers.

^there is quite a large degree of sarcasm in my post :shock1:

Jatuporn's demeanour have got him into trouble with the law and a long list of charges and convictions. He has seen the back of the cell more than once and now on bail. Suthep has yet even attend court citing that he was busy with the shutdown. Now that murder case was dropped. Issara, he is untouchable. You can label them thugs but treated by the judiciary differently depending on the side you affiliate yourself. Agree?

He better behave in this 3 months and also to regain his health. The next battle will need all his energy.

We are delighted by the release of the people's hero amd political prisoner  Jatuporn Promphan. The popular and much respected  Khun Jatuporn is a family man and his release shall allow him to resume his parental responsibilities.

We extend our best wishes to the people's hero and wish him a speedy recovery.
