Patong to Phuket Busterminal 2

Recommended Posts

There is a "new" hourly Mini-Bus between Patong and Phuket Busterminal 2. I saw the Bus on Nanai lately. I could not find any information on this. I just know it's 50 Bt. What is the route it takes at what times?

Any help would be appreciated.

It runs from the old bus station in Phuket town not the new inter province bus station now located close to the big super cheap store on the direct road from phuket town to the airport

I regularly catch a 50b minibus on Nanai to town but it turns right on Yaoworat Rd and goes towards Bangkok Hospital not left but may further down . I have never done a round trip so dont know its full route but I will now, just to educate myself.
They run along Nanai at the O'clock give or take 5 mins. The only bus to BT2 that I know of is the one from Patong Beach and doesn't go down Nanai .

Where on Nanai can you catch this minibus? Is there an official stop somewhere, or do you just flag it down when you see it coming?

Just flag it down, I do. But they have sort of official type stops but only Thais can tell you where.

Just a postscript to my previous posts. I only recently discovered that you can customise ones signature at the bottom of posts to anything you want, and some of my recent ones have a sarcastic signature that on reflection may be in bad taste. I have since removed it.

Despite what you may have read, Phuket is NOT the "World Class Tourist Destination" that it promotes itself to be.  Thus, proper public transport is non-existent here.

What is in abundance here are the many "private" taxis who will gladly take you wherever you want to go, at an exorbitant price, with a portion of that fare going to an "association" aka "mafia" to allow them to continue to charge such prices.

This comment is not really helpful/intelligent.

I am not absolute up-to-date. There is an airport bus and you can take the bus to Terminal 1 and then to Terminal 2..

Poster wants to go to the bus terminal. I do not think the Patong airport bus goes past the new bus terminal.

I can^t think of any easy way other by taxi.

Therfore I wrote:  you can take the bus to Terminal 1 and then to Terminal 2..

The Airport bus is not useful here, right.

This topic displays how disjointed the public bus service is here on Phuket island.

The local buses don't connect with the main inter city bus terminal. You need another town pink bus to get there and from what I see all the pink buses are parked at the back of BigC most of the day so what time table do they run on.

It's amost like someone planned all this  ... oh wait the taxi mafia controls all phuket publc transport services.

The bus from bus station 1 to bus station 2 is easy enough.  It's pink, leaves from bus station 1 and goes to bus station 2.

So if you find yourself at one bus station and need to go to the other one, just ask for the right bus at the information counter (or look for the pink one).

The real problem with the buses in Phuket is there is no beach to beach bus.  And also the times, they start very early and finish very early.   They're obviously aimed more at locals than at tourists, because everybody knows that the mafia want the tourists' money tourists prefer taxis.
