Google's Home TV ad makes Google Home systems go crazy

Google used the Super Bowl to plug its Google Home connectivity service, but the TV commercial apparently confused the systems in homes of those who already have it. For them, Google Home went whacko.

Those who already have Google Home took to Twitter to complain that it interfered with their units. Apparently, the home systems heard the TV broadcasts calling its name, and it became befuddled.

Interesting that. Amazon had the same problem with the Echo.

It seems they may have found a workaround.

I wonder about dialog on dramatic TV shows, like someone screaming for help.

On the lighter side; there might be some interesting interactions with these devices when couples are having an intense argument.

Similar thing happens with android phones that have built-in voice activation. The phones are easily triggered

either by playing audio or in the vicinity of it being played where someone mentions the "OK Google" hot-word.

Can annoy the hell out of you, especially if they do it several times during the program.

Oh, and I can't wait to hear how some bright someone released an audio based virus vectored through an "OK Google" command and distributed through national media.

Why 'Ok Google' needs a new catchphrase
