Accommodation situation around Chiang Mai during Songkran

Featured Replies

Planning a trip during Songkran, Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai.

Do I need to book accommodation ahead or just walk in same day?

No response.

Maybe better in the local forum.

Moved to Chiang Mai forum.

Many places will be fully booked. And prices will be higher. Best to book ahead.

Will get busy but it never sells out at Songkran. Never hurts to book ahead, you will get better rates on some sites than you'll get with a walk in rate.

Another clown that has a water pistol fetish...

What to hell is wrong with you?
Did I write a single word about playing water?
If you read my post, I also ask about accommodation around Chiang Mai, not in Chiang Mai.
If you want to know more details, I'm
doing a motorcycle tour up to Chiang Rai.
Oh, now you might tell me it's so dangerous....
And for the time around Songkran, because that is the only time my girlfriend and me have a long holiday because we are both busy.
Next time if you don't have to contribute something helpful, better be quiet.
Now go back to your bar stool and get your next beer...

Such a pleasant post, it really makes me want to help.

I agree with post #3, it is absolutely correct.
