My wife who is a Thai national but also holds UK Citizenship and a UK Passport will shortly visit Germany flying from Thailand.

In the last four years she has flow this route three times and as normal used her Thai Passport to exit Thailand and her UK Passport to enter Germany. A friend now tells her that she will need a Schengen Visa.

I have searched and cannot find any changes to the regulations.

I am correct that to enter Germany all she will need is her UK Passport?    ... thanks

Would be big news if UK passport holders needed a visa to enter the Schengen area.

Obviously a misunderstanding.

EU nationals never need a visa (and UK is still an EU member).

More detail in English from the German foreign office (even if you already have read that):

Didn't your friend give you any official sources?
