February 19, 20179 yr I have dell laptop windows 8.1 I keep getting a registration form coming up frequently and it is only valid for an American address so can not register even if I wanted too. The problem is there is no way to stop this happening. Is any one else had a similar problem with dell. I would add I have never had such a problem with other makes of laptops
February 19, 20179 yr Exactly what are you being asked to register? Post a screenshot next time it appears. "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
February 19, 20179 yr I assume this is Dells famous registration popup and that you have registered already. If you type msconfig in Windows search then press enter then click the startup tab. You should see Dells support process listed. From here you can stop the startup. To be 100% sure search Dell forums for exact process name.
February 19, 20179 yr If it is the dell popup....and he bought it in the US it could be worth registering using a VPN to do so. It is then possible to pay a supplement to transfer the warantee to the country he wants to use the warrantee in.
