Index Living Mall on the Eastern side of the Ring Road is a good place to start. Large selection and good discounts.
You can also try HomePro - they have a few independent shops in the front of the store. 

HomePro is very close to Index on the same side of the highway.

Going north from Index, turn right at the lights after Global House. There is a shop about 50m. along on the right, run by a guy who spent several years in Australia.

 

I ended up getting ours about a year ago from the independent stall outside Thai Watsadu on the  Eastern ring road - comfortable and good value.   

New furniture shop ,on north of ring road before traffic lights by Honda Big wing motorcycle shop. Lazyboy sofas and others. Quality store..
