Latest mobile phone data rates - Naypyidaw

Featured Replies

The internet data rate that you can achieve over the mobile phone networks will vary according to your location, number of other simultaneous users of that cell-site etc.

I do a lot of online teaching from Myanmar and previously got 'caught out' when my hotel wi-fi/internet connection failed.  So I have a data-enabled SIM card from the 3 mobile network operators which I can use in the event that my hotel internet is not up to scratch.

I do not have a 4G phone, so the data rates that my application measures (Speedtest Android app), refer to 3G.

I have tested the data rates at many different locations around Naypyidaw, and the data rate is about the same for all locations.

My results were quite surprising!
