I realize I can buy aspirin at most pharmacies but they charge about 15 baht for 10 pills.  I can buy a jar of 500 for about $3.50 in the US.

Is there anyway to get cheaper aspirin here?

It does not cost anything like 15 baht for 10 tabs of locally made aspirin.

Go to a real pharmacy (not a Boots or Watsons or other chain, a large Thai store selling drugs, not cosmetics).

Does anyone have any idea what happened to Bayer Aspirin, the 500mg tablet versions ?

They are no longer available anywhere as stocks appear to have depleted. I questioned a few pharmacists about this and none of them seem to have any idea. I suggested that it might be some dispute with the Thai FDA / government but they were quite clueless.

Maybe I will phone Bayer and ask them directly if I get around to it.
