Yes I know the official version is 6 months, but local offices have their own rules.

WTH do you think I'm talking about?!  I've been going to CR immigration for over 10 years.

No sweat.  CR Immigration has a good reputation.  In my experience, they don't make up their own rules or ask for tea money.  Treat them with respect and they will do the same.  They work hard and take a lot of crap.

 

They have been checking to see if foreigners actually live at their 'reported' address.

 

I've also been to Mae Sai Immigration (we can go to either one).  They're not as "friendly" as the CR office.
